A/N: Expect more of my work on here soonAvailable on Wattpad // AO3 // TumblrWarnings: Spoilers from Silent Hill 1 w/ a bit of of angst and fluff Originally, Harry planned to take you and Cheryl to Silent Hill for a vacation tomorrow, but a couple of days ago, you received a phone call from your father about the unfortunate news of your mother passing away. You would have to leave town, leaving Harry and Cheryl back home. "How will you be gone for?" Harry helped you finish loading your luggage into your car. "About three days. Will you be alright while I'm gone?""I'll be fine. I'd hate for you to miss out on going to Silent Hill." "I wish I could come." You reach up to plant a kiss on his cheek. "Besides, it'll give you some time to bond with Cheryl while I'm away.""I'll miss you." Cheryl mutters. You looked down at Cheryl frowning as she held her father's hand.A sad sigh escapes from your lips. "I know it'll feel like a long time, but I'll be back before you know it." Kneeling down at her level, you give her a quick hug. "When I get back home, how about we go somewhere fun this weekend." You said, pulling away. Cheryl lightens up at the suggestion.Standing up, you give Harry one last hug before leaving. "Now don't get into any trouble while I'm gone." A few days later The sun began to set when you arrived home. As you pull in to the driveway, you notice Harry's car was gone. "Must be a long drive. Perhaps they'll be back later this evening." You thought. You took your belongings out of your car and enter the dark house. Switching on the lights, you make your way to the bedroom that you and Harry shared. As you were about to pass by Cheryl's room, you saw Harry closing the door to her room. A grin appears on your face. You set down your belongings to wrap your arms around his neck. "I missed you." You peck him on the lips. "I didn't see your car outside, so I figured that you were on your way back. Must be having car trouble again?" You presume. You quickly notice that something was off about him. He didn't say a word or showed any emotion when seeing you. Just stared at you blankly. "Are you feeling alright?" The back of your hand laid against his forehead for a few seconds before pulling away. "You're not running a fever, but you do look exhausted.""I'm feeling fine." He pauses. "But there's something I need to tell you."The way he said it, it didn't sound good. "Did something happen? Is it about Cheryl?""There was an accident with my car. When I woke up, she wasn't there; and something about that town. I... I don't know how to explain it."He didn't give you a straight answer, but hearing about Cheryl's disappearance, it felt like your heart had stopped for a moment. "Isn't she in there?" Panic began to arise within you."You'll have to be quiet." Harry took your hand in his. "She's asleep." He whispers as he slowly opens the door to Cheryl's room. With the nightlight not being the best source of light in the room, you could faintly see a small figure laying asleep on the bed. Tears brim your eyes as you took slow steps. As you got closer to the small figure, it became clear that the figure was an infant. "Cheryl?" You faintly whisper. Kneeling down next to Cheryl's bed, you gently pull away the small blanket. "This can't be Cheryl. Is it? No, it can't be!" You glanced over at Harry who stood in the doorway, rubbing his eyes and back to the baby. Wiping the tears from your face, you cover the baby with the blanket and exit the room."Y/N I can explain." He says, closing the door behind him."Is this some sort of joke?" You snap at him."No! I would never do something like this!""Then who is that sleeping in Cheryl's room?!" You point to her door.He didn’t answer. Instead, he watches you fighting off the urge to cry. "Is she... really gone?" You ask.He nods his head slowly. "Yes.”It felt like the whole world came crashing down around you. You hide your face as fresh tears escape your eyes. "I can't believe my little girl's gone." You cry.In a attempt to comfort you, Harry lays a hand on your shoulder. "Y/N...please listen to me.""Get away from me!" Yanking yourself away from him, you make your way to the bedroom. As you reach for the knob, a hand grabs your wrist. "I know it'll sound crazy, but please hear me out!" You cocked your head where he had gripped you and looked up at his distressed face. "Please." He begged.------------------------------------You set the cup of hot coffee in front of Harry and sat down next to him with yours. Silence filled the kitchen momentarily as you took a sip from the cup. "When did you get back?He pulls the mug away from his lips, setting it back on the table. "This morning." He refuses to look up at you. "I know it'll sound dumb, but everything I'm about to tell you is all true." Running a hand through his hair, he finally looks up at you."After the car accident, I couldn't find Cheryl anywhere. I had to fight my way past monsters that flooded the town just to find her. Then there was a cult that wanted to use Cheryl for a ritual of theirs. And as it turns out, Cheryl was part of someone else. A girl named Alessa Gillespie. They needed her and her other half in order to complete it." He pauses. "I was too late to save her.""So who's child is it?""Alessa's. Even though Cheryl is gone, she gave me the child."It took a moment for you to process it all: A cult, a ritual, and the taking of Cheryl. It felt like it was beyond a bad dream. She was everything to you, and yet a tragedy took her away from you too soon. You were shortly interrupted from your thoughts by Harry's grieving. "It's all my fault that she's gone.""No. Don't say that!" You scoot your chair closer to him. "You shouldn't feel ashamed over something you had no control over." In an attempt, you reach out to caress his face, but failing to do so, he pulls away. "Harry. Look at me." Saying sternly. You try again to reach for his face once more; this time, he allows you. Your fingers wrap around both sides of his face to turn his head to face you. Cradling his face in the palm of your hands, you saw the whites of his eyes were now a soft pink and the tears that pricked his eyes finally rolls down his cheeks. So much remorse."It's very devastating, but it wasn't ever your fault." With one hand, you brush the strands of hair away from his face. "I don't want you to feel like you're to be blamed." You wrap your arms around him, pulling him into your loving embrace. "We'll get through this. I promise."You hold him for awhile, usher reassuring words to him. His breathing eventually becomes steady and his body finally relaxes. "Feeling any better?" You pull away from him."Yeah." He whispers, wiping his eyes with the back of his hand."I want you to go get washed up while I make dinner. For the rest of the evening, I want you to relax." You lean forward, pressing your lips against his cheek. "It's been a long day for you."
